Formed in Lubbock, Texas in late 2024, Mutilate The Corpse is a devastating multi-generational death metal force. The studio duo is built on a unique, years-long bond between master and apprentice: lead guitarist and composer William Donnie Lawson and his multi-instrumentalist former instructor, MAD CHAD™ Russell.
Their deep creative synergy culminates in the band’s crushing debut full-length, Tales Of The Dead. Scheduled for a Fall 2026 waterfall release via DFGS Productions Inc., the record seamlessly fuses the unrelenting grit of old-school death metal with the precision of modern core. Lawson drives the sonic assault with heavy, structural guitar riffs and foundational bass lines. Complementing this aggression is Russell—a Berklee College of Music alumnus—who commands the vocals, lyrics, drums, and keys, while meticulously steering the album's advanced audio engineering, production, and final master.
Lyrically plunging into the darkest depths of horror, space, history, terror, and modern chaos, Mutilate The Corpse delivers a masterclass in calculated sonic brutality.

"Joseph Roy "Joe" Metheny (often known as "Joe the Cannibal"). Operating in Baltimore, Maryland during the 1990s, he claimed to have murdered up to 10 people. His case became infamous after he confessed to mixing the flesh of his victims with pork and beef to sell as burgers and sandwiches from a roadside barbecue stand."

"Dissolving the Body" is a terrifying descent into the darkest corners of true crime, directly inspired by the horrific operations of the real-life cartel figure known as "El Guisador" (The Stew Maker).
For years, this ruthless operative acted as the underworld’s ultimate cleaner, tasked with completely dissolving hundreds of human remains in industrial vats of lye and acid to erase all evidence of the cartel’s brutal executions. To reflect the true, cross-border grittiness of this horrifying subject matter, the track features viciously woven bilingual Spanish and English lyrics, seamlessly shifting between languages to echo the cold, mechanical reality of the cartel's operations.
Musically, the song mirrors the chemical destruction itself—dragging the listener through slow, corrosive, sludge-heavy riffs before exploding into an absolute frenzy of grinding double-bass and guttural screams.
